Sierra Rose Black Tea

from $25.00

A Romantic & Refined California Rose Black Tea

Crafted on our California estate, Sierra Rose Black Tea is a delicate union of smooth, whole-leaf black tea and fragrant, hand-harvested rosebuds. The result is a cup that’s at once rich and graceful—malty warmth balanced by the soft perfume of rose and a lingering natural sweetness.

We created this tea using roses propagated from wild Rosa californica discovered along the Calaveras River. Their subtle, complex aroma offers a uniquely Californian expression of the classic rose-scented black tea—floral yet grounded, romantic yet pure.

Harvesting and Crafting

  • Hand-picked: top two leaves and a bud from estate-grown Camellia sinensis var. sinensis cultivars.

  • 16-hour wither at ~70°F to concentrate sugars and aroma.

  • Traditional rolling and oxidation to develop a malty, copper-toned liquor.

  • Blended with whole rosebuds‍ ‍
