Zuma White Tea - 2025
Citrus-Kissed Calm from California
Inspired by the breezy elegance of Zuma Beach, Zuma White Tea is a gentle, luminous tea that blends the floral stillness of early spring white tea with the vibrant citrus lift of makrut lime leaves. The result is a clean and calming cup that brightens the senses without overwhelming them — like a quiet morning sun glinting on the waves.
Made from hand-picked Bai Mu Dan leaves, this tea offers a soft, rounded base of wildflower and hay, delicately layered with the complex citrus aroma of lime leaf — a fragrance that evokes both forest and sea. It’s an unusually refined take on citrus-infused tea, with no oils or flavorings — just real, estate-grown ingredients from our California garden.
The first steep opens with a fresh, green citrus nose, then transitions into floral and grassy mid-notes, finishing with a clear, refreshing lift that lingers like cool salt air. Re-steeped, it becomes even smoother and more floral — the lime receding into the background to reveal the full elegance of the white tea.
Harvesting and Crafting
This tea begins with our early spring harvest of Camellia sinensis var. sinensis, plucked as 1–2 leaves and a bud for a true Bai Mu Dan profile. The tea is made entirely on our farm:
Leaves are meticulously withered and dried to preserve their natural sweetness and delicate texture.
Once dry, we blend in California-grown makrut lime leaves, carefully harvested and shade-dried to preserve their vibrant aroma without bitterness.
The lime leaves are added post-drying, which means their bright, aromatic oils remain fresh and volatile — infusing the tea subtly with each steep, without overpowering its delicate character.
